Over the last few years pupils and staff have had little opportunity to engage with and visit external organisations.
Pre COVID, some of our most popular sessions were those delivered at the centre to classes of pupils focused on a specific exciting technology. This gave the children a chance to be taught by a specialist consultant focusing on technologies that they may not have day to day access to at their school. It also allowed attending staff see the use of this technology modeled to their children and a chance to engage with our consultants to understand how to deliver similar sessions successfully back at their school.
We are pleased to offer the following pupil sessions with the option of them being delivered at your school or at the centre. All sessions are available on demand and can be bespoke to the curriculum needs of your school.
Sessions available at our centre in Little Germany or at your school
- Minecraft: creating eco housing.
- Creating Virtual Reality environments with CoSpaces.
- Creative physical computing with Makey Makey.
- Creating and printing 3D objects.
- Micro:bit: Beyond the basics
Sessions only available at our centre in Little Germany
- Creative physical computing with Lego NXT.
Sessions run 9:30–11:30 on the arranged day and cost £250 for a max of 32 pupils (including refreshments if delivered at our centre).
We will add to these sessions throughout the year and if there is a specific technology you wish to engage with not on the list, please let us know.
