This two day course will address all the points above, enable you to clarify your role as subject lead and provide you with a range of skills, knowledge and resources to successfully fill the role of computing subject leader at your school.

This is a two day face to face course designed for existing and new Computing subject leaders.

Day 1 - 5 Nov 21
Day 2 - 10 Feb 22

We will cover the role of the subject leader and its many requirements including assessing your current situation, action plan and Computing policy writing, curriculum coverage, mapping progression, evidencing work digitally, assessment, timetabling, recommended hardware and software use and configuration, and preparation for an OFSTED deep dive in Computing. This course will use the materials from the Curriculum Innovation team as well as the best free resources from other sources.

There will be two half terms between the two sessions which will give leaders the chance to reflect and implement changes whilst ongoing support will be available from the course leader.

N.B This course will complement the NCCE course on leading the primary curriculum.
