The Curriculum Innovation Service provides several services to schools, community and local business. Our portfolio of services is always evolving and we welcome suggestions for any services not presently available. The present offering is based on providing a cost effective quality service of provision relevant to our present partners reflecting in present trends and uses of a range of technologies.
We have provided quality ‘state of the art’ training and meeting rooms for several years and these are proving very popular with a variety of trainers and school partnerships as an alternative to using local hotels and since moving to our new centre in Little Germany we have had rave reviews of our new catering partner ‘Foodworks’
We continue to offer our partners support with utilising digital content and an online presence through our media design, video creation, printing and blog design and hosting services. Many schools have started to engage with us to create DVDs of school productions that can then be circulated or sold to parents as a permanent memory of the event.
Our laser etching is very popular with organisations asking us to etch a variety of equipment including Kindles and iPads with names, postcodes and logos. This has proved a popular way of publicising their organisation and also securely marking their equipment.
One of our most popular services for schools is ‘Equipment Loans’. These are affordable boxes of popular technologies that schools can choose to loan for short or extended periods to use in school rather than having to purchase the resource themselves. We now have a fully interactive online booking system to make accessing this provision very simple. Click here for more information
We can also design, create and host a range of digital media provision to meet your needs.
Video Creation and Editing The Curriculum Innovation Service provides several bespoke services to partners with regard to video creation. Our staff of experienced fi lm makers have worked with several schools and other organisations flming productions, assemblies and events for distribution to partners. We can provide you with raw footage or edit this to a fi lm of chosen length with titles and credits. The completed creation is available as a video file or DVD. We have created video case studies of best practice with several partnerships in Bradford this year. We also have the capability to deliver green screen services.
Our team of consultants provide a range of training on the creation of film and animation including our Learning with Learners provision. We can also deliver free Into Film training (see their CPD brochure www.intofilm.org).
Blogging Services Blogging continues to be very popular with schools and other organisations where they have been used effectively to encourage communication with parents and the wider community. Our team regularly blog about projects and initiatives we are delivering or content we feel will be of interest to our partners. The Learning and Curriculum blog can be found at www.theblog.is/lac
We can deliver a range of provision to meet your blogging needs using a Wordpress blog on our dedicated servers. This includes setup, hosting, technical training on managing the blog and half / full day curriculum training to pupils and staff.
Design & Print As a service we manage the design and printing of all our own promotional materials such as the brochure you’re reading now. With a wide range of experience producing artwork for a variety of formats and materials we also offer this as a service to our schools and partners. Whether you need help understanding what to print and how, already have a few words on a page and an idea, or have existing materials that need making print-ready, we can help you through the process to get the fi nal product that you want.
Laser Etching This service is very popular with many of our partners ranging from local schools to Everton Football Club. It allows technology to be personalised by adding a signature, a classic quotation, personal message or logo. Many organisations are using the service to add addresses and postcodes for security purposes and we have become aware of etching reducing loss and theft of technology. Popular devices we are requested to etch include laptops, Kindles, iPads, iPods, tablet devices and mobile phones.
