Online Safety

Online Safety

Online Safety is at the core of the provision we deliver to schools and is a key aspect of a school’s safeguarding provision as outlined in the DfE’s ‘Keeping children safe in Education’ document. We have worked with many schools using the SWGfL 360 Online Safety audit tool to create a detailed whole school Online Safety action plan focusing on:
• Policy and leadership
• Infrastructure
• Education and curriculum
• Standards and Inspection
This has enabled many of the schools to achieve the nationally recognised SWGfL Online Safety Mark.

All our consultants are qualified CEOP ambassadors (Child Exploitation and Online Protection centre) and SWGfL (South West Grid for Learning) Online Safety Mark Assessors who can enable you to carry out an effective whole school Online Safety audit and develop an appropriate action plan to ensure your provision meets the latest Ofsted criteria.

The breadth of issues classified within Online Safety is considerable, but the main four areas of risk are:

Content: being exposed to illegal, inappropriate or harmful material
Contact: being subjected to harmful online interaction with other users
Conduct: personal online behaviour that increases the likelihood of, or causes, harm
Commerce: being exposed to scams, phishing attacks and insecure transactions

We can deliver bespoke sessions to pupils, staff, governors and parents as necessary, including leadership and management, policy and practice and developing/delivering an effective (e)Safeguarding curriculum.
